MODEX Q&A - Seegrid

MODEX Q&A with | Seegrid

Tell us about your company.

Seegrid is the leading provider of connected self-driving vehicles for materials handling with nearly three million miles driven. With flexible and reliable infrastructure-free vision guided vehicles, fleet management software, and actionable analytics, Seegrid offers a complete connected solution for autonomous, safe, and reliable material movement. Seegrid accelerates Industry 4.0 and lean initiatives with incremental automation, helping companies achieve a truly connected enterprise and transform into smart factories of the future.

Your company will be exhibiting at MODEX, what is it that makes this an important event for your company?

As a company, we are focused on delivering solutions that transform the world’s supply chain — autonomously moving material as safely, effectively, and efficiently as possible. MODEX provides an opportunity to connect face-to-face with companies from across the globe that are looking to bring automation to the supply chain. Together, we can make the workplace safer, more efficient, and more beneficial to humans.

What makes your booth a must visit for MODEX Attendees?

Seegrid booth (#10012) at MODEX provides an opportunity to observe our latest products working seamlessly together for efficient material movement. This year we’re featuring the new GT10 Series 7 tow tractor and Auto-Charge — our new, hands-free, drive up, battery charging station. Booth visitors will see how Seegrid Supervisor fleet management software monitors vehicle battery levels, automatically sends vehicles to and from Auto-Charge, and enables vehicles to quickly get back to work. Auto-Charge, compatible with fast charging maintenance free batteries, not only saves time, it removes a dangerous human touchpoint. In contrast, lead acid batteries, weighing 1,500 lbs. with a current of 250 Amps, can cause serious injury if not handled and maintained correctly. In the booth, our 10,000 lbs. capacity tugger will be working with the Raymond Courier Automated Lift Truck 3030 Stacker, the award-winning AGV that autonomously navigates with Seegrid Vision technology. Attendees looking to demonstrate ROI, increase operational excellence, or drive continuous improvement initiatives will see how actionable analytics provide real-time visibility into key performance metrics. It’s a unique opportunity to witness proven, end-to-end, AGV technology in action.

MODEX has many educational sessions, forums & Demo’s, is your company involved in any of them this year?

Seegrid’s Jeff Christensen, VP of Product, is leading an educational session on Tuesday, March 10 from 10:30 AM - 11:15 AM in Theater G titled, “Optimize Operations and Rack-Up ROI with Advanced Analytics.” An experienced information delivery solutions designer and strategist, Jeff oversees Seegrid’s product development for automated guided vehicles and data analytics solutions. Jeff’s 25+ year career spans technology design, business intelligence, and analytic software. Seegrid will also perform live product demonstrations in booth # 10012 throughout the entire event.

When you get a chance to walk the exhibit hall floor yourself, what is it you will be most interested to see?  Any educational sessions, pavilions etc. you plan on attending?

MODEX brings together a wide array of leading solutions, showcasing the latest innovations that solve various challenges within material handling. We are excited to connect with attendees from all over the world to learn about their operations, challenges, and goals, while also showing them first-hand what is possible for their supply chain operation. We are also excited to attend several educational seminars for insight and different perspectives on emerging topics.

The Supply Chain is undertaking rapid advancements, be it automation, mobile robotics, IIoT or Autonomous vehicles, give us an idea on how your company and product is being utilized now in the supply chain.
