Faulhaber Compact powerhouse for demanding applications

ATX West Booth #2321

The 1645... BHS brushless DC servomotor from FAULHABER is setting the bar in its class with an extremely short response time, high speed and large permissible radial load. The successful BHx series with a diameter of 16 mm is thus further expanded by an even more compact version which is only 45 mm long. And much like the rest of the product range, this extremely powerful BLDC motor is also characterised by low vibration and heat development. It is therefore predestined for applications that demand a lot of power and offer little space.

HEIDENHAIN - Innovative Dual Encoders for Robots

ATX West Booth #4548

Robust design

Thanks to their robust inductive scanning method, the KCI 120 Dplus rotary encoders are particularly resistant to contamination and magnetic fields. Their rigid design permits high vibration loads of up to 400 m/s² on the stator and 600 m/s² on the rotor.

Functional safety

The rotary encoders of this series are available with functional safety and a functionally safe mechanical connection. Once integrated into an application with up to SIL 3 safety, they minimize malfunctions and facilitate the safe operation of machines and automated systems.

2D position measurement

KCI 120 Dplus series rotary encoders permit wide mounting tolerances of ±0.3 mm for Encoder A and ±0.5 mm for Encoder B. The circular scales are simply press-fitted onto the motor shaft and output shaft, thus permitting fast and easy installation.

Compact design

The KCI 120 Dplus unites two rotary encoders in a single device, offering high reliability in a rugged and extremely compact design. Thanks to its low 20 mm profile, this series is great for tight installation spaces.

The ERT150 - Dorner’s Next Evolution of Edge Roller Technology Conveyors

WestPack Booth #5014

The next evolution in Dorner’s Edge Roller Technology conveyor platform, the ERT®150, is ideal for small and light-load assembly automation, as well as medical and medical-device assembly application. The ERT platform is the only pallet conveyor of its kind available with an ISO Standard Class 4 rating for cleanroom applications. Earning the ISO Standard 14644-1 Class 4 rating means Dorner’s ERT150 will conform and not contribute to the contamination of cleanrooms to those standards.

As implied by its name, the ERT150 (Edge Roller Technology) uses rollers to move pallets through the conveyor smoothly with no friction (a byproduct often seen in belt-driven platforms). The conveyor’s open design eliminates concerns of small parts or screws dropping into rollers and causing conveyor damage or jamming.

The ERT150 is suited to operate in cleanroom environments requiring a pallet handling conveyor. It is capable of zoning for no or low-back pressure accumulation and is ideal for automation assembly applications within industries including medical devices, electronics, consumer goods among others.

The rollers are driven by a patent-pending, energy efficient linear gearbox that gives customers added flexibility with motor positioning and zoning. This allows for zone and slip roller operation. Simply removing a lower gear creates independent zones. The non-contact zone control provides simplified traffic control that eliminates pallet stops and costly pneumatic valves. Conversely, slip rollers can be used for full length runs with conventional pneumatic pallet stops. The rollers are easily accessible and can quickly be replaced without affecting the remaining portion of the conveyor.

Schmalz Technology Development - The Right Gripper for Every Task

ATX West Booth #4974

In order to interact with their environment and perform the tasks, lightweight robots, like all industrial robots, depend on tools - and in many cases these are vacuum grippers. These form the interface to the workpiece and are therefore a decisive part of the overall system. With their help, the robots can pick up, move, position, process, sort, stack and deposit a wide variety of goods and components. Vacuum gripping systems allow particularly gentle handling of workpieces, a compact and space-saving system design and gripping from above. Precisely because the object does not have to be gripped, the vacuum suction cupenables gapless positioning next to each other.
