What makes your booth a must visit for ProMat Attendees?

The Swisslog booth (#S3523) offers an immersive 3D experience that brings the company’s temperature-controlled portfolio to life, showcasing how these solutions help ensure freshness and quality, while reducing costs and order fulfillment times. Swisslog automation experts will be on-hand to answer questions about the new AutoStore Multi-Temperature Solution, which allows multiple temperature zones within a single AutoStore system. Live demonstrations of AutoStore and Swisslog’s SynQ intralogistics software are also being featured in the booth.

Visitors to the booth also can learn how the company’s entire portfolio of best-in-class robotics and software solutions can help achieve new levels of efficiency in a variety of applications, including food and beverage, general merchandise, apparel and omnichannel warehousing. This includes solutions for storage and retrieval (CycloneCarrier robotic shuttle system and Vectura stacker crane) and robotic picking and palletizing (ItemPiQ robotic picking solution and ACPaQ mixed case palletizer). It also includes transport and conveyor solutions, such as Swisslog’s autonomous mobile robot (AMR) portfolio, offering versatile solutions for various applications in pallet transport.

Swisslog is holding a customer celebration in the booth on Tuesday, March 18, from 3pm to 5pm, where attendees can enjoy a custom 3D-printed cocktail.

ProMat has many educational sessions, forums & Demo’s, is your company involved in any of them this year?

Swisslog automation experts will share their warehouse automation experience and expertise in two educational seminars at the show.

During the session, “Automated Warehouse Excellence: Agile Cold Storage’s Deep-Freeze Solution,” attendees will learn how Agile revolutionized its frozen food storage operations in Gainesville, Georgia. Swisslog’s Ben Lee, vice president of sales, integrated systems, and Agile’s John Ripple, chief development officer, will share how Agile worked with Swisslog to leverage high-bay automation pallet storage and retrieval systems (ASRS) to significantly increase storage density and operational efficiency.

Attendees of the session, “Designing Flexibility into Automated Omnichannel Distribution,” will learn about the automation solutions supporting flexible omnichannel warehouses. Swisslog sales directors Wofford Wise and Alex Reed, will outline key strategies for designing omnichannel warehouse automation that delivers maximum value. They will also discuss the automation solutions that can support more efficient store replenishment and faster, lower cost e-commerce fulfillment.

Give us your thoughts on what the future holds for robotics and material handling?

We will continue to see software playing an increasing role in maximizing productivity of warehouse automation. We see increased focus on optimizing execution in the warehouse through the use of AI enabled software that learns the customer operation to make better decisions and helps facilitate a more effective use of data.

This data is fuel for the artificial intelligence systems that will enable logistics systems to learn and evolve on their own. Through the power of data and artificial intelligence, supply chain systems are learning to recognize patterns, regularities and interdependencies from structured and unstructured data to anticipate demand and adapt, dynamically and independently, to new situations. Working with similarly intelligent productions systems, these self-learning supply chain systems will enable organizations to meet global customer requirements with greater speed, customization and efficiency.
