Microscan, a global technology leader in barcode, machine vision and lighting solutions, announces that its HS-41X Handheld DPM Imager has won a 2013 Ringier Technology Innovation Award in the Pumps & Valves Industry category.
BEIJING, CHINA, June 14, 2013 - Microscan, a global technology leader in barcode, machine vision and lighting solutions, announces that its HS-41X Handheld DPM Imager has won a 2013 Ringier Technology Innovation Award in the Pumps & Valves Industry category. Pako Pang, Field Applications Engineer at Microscan's regional office in Shanghai, accepted the award for Microscan during a ceremony at IE expo 2013 held in the Shanghai New International Expo Center on May 14, 2013. The 2013 Ringier Technology Innovation Awards for the Pumps and Valves Industry are co-organized by Ringier Trade Media and its magazine World Pumps China together with MMI-ZM Trade Fairs (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and its trade show, IE expo 2013.
Following a strict selection process by an independent judge panel, with reference to online voting results, 19 winning companies were selected for their ability to innovate energy-efficient solutions that drive innovation in China's pumps and valves industry. The purpose of the awards are to encourage, acknowledge, and reward companies that have developed a new idea, methodology, or technology for production efficiency, cost-effectiveness, or user convenience to promote energy savings and more environmentally-responsible, clean manufacturing.
The HS-41X is a compact handheld imager for decoding low-contrast 2D symbols on substrates such as sheet metals, castings, plastics, and electronic components. Its dual field optics are optimized to read both linear barcodes and 2D symbols, including challenging marks such as those created by direct part mark (DPM) methods such as dot peen and laser/chemical etch. Integrated with Microscan's industry-leading X-Mode decode algorithms and innovative bright-field lighting, the HS-41X handheld is best in its class for DPM reading. This imager is also disinfectant-ready, dust & water resistant, and features an IP54-rated enclosure, making it the ideal portable reading solution for any automated data application from clean rooms to industrial environments.
Microscan offers handheld barcode readers for applications ranging from linear barcodes up to the most challenging 2D direct part marks. The introduction of the HS-41X expands Microscan's product portfolio for standard applications, complementing its existing line of specialty handheld barcode imagers designed for more challenging DPM reading.
