MICROMO Launches the FAULHABER FDM0620 Series

Setting New Standards for Stepper Motors

With the new FDM0620 series, MICROMO presents a high performance FAULHABER stepper motor with minimal size. Setting new standards for compact drive systems, all components (including connections) are in a housing that measures just 9.7 mm in length and 6 mm in diameter. With this combination of minimal space requirements and maximum power, reliability and production quality, the FAULHABER Group continues its success story in the field of micro motors and expands its family of stepper motors in the 6 to 22 mm diameter range.

With a holding torque rating of 0.25 mNm and a dynamic torque of up to 0.2 mNm, these stepper motors are a great fit for applications in which high power is required in a small space. Portable devices are an excellent example. The open-loop operation enables fast and simple implementation, and the holding torque rating and the precise angular accuracy make this product the ideal solution for applications with high requirements on angular and linear positioning. Applications in optics, photonics and medical technology are just a few considerations.

The innovative and patented flex PCB system is suitable both for LIF plugs with grid dimensions of 0.5 and 1.0 mm as well as for wiring via lead wires. A wide selection of metric lead screws for linear movements as well as a planetary gearheads with various reduction ratios round out the configuration options of the FDM0620 series.

In addition, other modifications are available that allow the motors to withstand special mechanical loads or environmental influences (e.g., low temperatures or vacuum). This makes the FDM0620 series a flexible solution for a wide range of application areas.

• Dynamic torque to 0.2 mNm

• Speed to 20,000 rpm

• Operating temperature range: -35 to +70°C (in the standard version)

• Long service life

• Can be combined perfectly with gearheads or lead screws

• Ideal for positioning tasks

Schmalz Technology Development - The Right Gripper for Every Task

In order to interact with their environment and perform the tasks, lightweight robots, like all industrial robots, depend on tools - and in many cases these are vacuum grippers. These form the interface to the workpiece and are therefore a decisive part of the overall system. With their help, the robots can pick up, move, position, process, sort, stack and deposit a wide variety of goods and components. Vacuum gripping systems allow particularly gentle handling of workpieces, a compact and space-saving system design and gripping from above. Precisely because the object does not have to be gripped, the vacuum suction cupenables gapless positioning next to each other.
