Emoshape Announces Production of the Emotions Processing Unit II

THE EMOTION SYNTHESIS ENGINE OF ROBOTS, AI & IoT will be produced with a microchip that enables an emotional response in AI, robots and consumer electronic devices.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Emoshape announced the production of the EPU II representing a significant advancement for the purpose of Robotic, AI, Virtual Assistant and Gaming technologies. Mr. Levy Rosenthal, CEO of Emoshape and architect of the EPU comments that; "The growing presence of robotics and Artificial Intelligence in society at large means that meaningful emotional interaction is core to removing the barrier to widespread adoption. Emotion synthesis and the use of emotions remain a fundamental need for humans that cannot be addressed by todays AI technology."

The EPU is based on the eight primary emotions identified in the psycho-evolutionary theory. The ground-breaking EPU algorithms effectively enable machines to respond to stimuli in line with the eight primary emotions: anger, fear, sadness, disgust, surprise, anticipation, trust, and joy. This allows the intelligent machine to experience pain, pleasure, frustration and satisfaction, key to successful machine learning.

EPU-II, based on 32-bit load/store RISC architecture, allows a robot to experience more than 1.6 billion distinct emotional states. That's over 50 times more computational horsepower than the previous-generation product. The EPU present a new leap for AI (artificial intelligence) on all fronts especially in the realm of robotics, smart toys, self-driving cars, home automation, and other major electronic devices.

The Evaluation Kit provides an evaluation platform for the Emotion Processing Unit II. The evaluation board is a vehicle to test and evaluate the emotion synthesis functionality of the EPU II. Customers can use this board to get a head start on software development prior to the arrival of their own hardware.

The Emoshape EPU II and the Evaluation Kit will be available to a selected group of clients starting circa 1/03/2016. More information about the product and the company can be found at www.emoshape.com. Please enquire for further and detailed technical information.

The EPU II together with the Emoshape cloud service and the emotion profile graph (EPG), give the AI the capacity to develop a long-term unique emotional personality based on user interactions. Emoshape Ltd will deliver unparalleled user experiences based on innovative technology. The EPU II will be used, among other things, to teach technologies how to interact with humans in order to yield a favorable result.

Schmalz Technology Development - The Right Gripper for Every Task

In order to interact with their environment and perform the tasks, lightweight robots, like all industrial robots, depend on tools - and in many cases these are vacuum grippers. These form the interface to the workpiece and are therefore a decisive part of the overall system. With their help, the robots can pick up, move, position, process, sort, stack and deposit a wide variety of goods and components. Vacuum gripping systems allow particularly gentle handling of workpieces, a compact and space-saving system design and gripping from above. Precisely because the object does not have to be gripped, the vacuum suction cupenables gapless positioning next to each other.
