DALLAS & FORT WORTH, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mouser Electronics, Inc., the New Product Introduction (NPI) leader that empowers innovation, is proud to once again be a major sponsor of Engineers Week (EWeek), five days of fun and engaging activities at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History in Texas. For several years, Mouser has been a major sponsor of this important event designed to increase public awareness and appreciation of engineers and their work.
Mouser will sponsor several exciting exhibits Feb. 20 - 24 at the museum, located in Fort Worth's Cultural District. Entry to EWeek is included with paid admission to the museum. Other activities celebrating National EWeek are planned at schools across the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
To celebrate this year's EWeek theme, Engineers: Inspiring Wonder, Mouser will host several engineering challenges and activities in the museum's Imaginer Studio, where guests can participate in interactive experiences while learning how engineering affects everyday life. Activities include an interactive LED puzzle game with 900 addressable LEDs, hands-on learning with the Raspberry Pi, and a LED- and motion sensor-based bean bag toss. As a bonus, visitors to Mousers exhibit can also enter for a chance to win a Bose SoundLink Color Bluetooth® speaker II.
"Mouser has played a role in helping aspiring engineers since the beginning of our company," said Kevin Hess, Mouser Senior Vice President of Marketing. "By sponsoring and participating in fun, educational events like EWeek, we look to help shape the innovators, inventors, and scientists who will create the future technological wonders."
During EWeek, Mouser aspires to spark the imagination of future design engineers while demonstrating some of the latest technologies affecting the world of tomorrow. Attendees can learn more about the latest volume of Mousers Methods e-zine, which provides an exclusive look ahead to the trends and impacts of technology in 2018.
"When students have the opportunity to work alongside professionals who are tops in their field, something very significant happens," said Van A. Romans, President of the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. "That experience can be inspiring and it is powerful. I believe it has the potential to shape a young persons career path. We appreciate the sponsors of National Engineers Week and the brilliant volunteer engineers who make this such a great event for students and guests."
