New Sapphire Windows for Drones from Meller Protect Vision Systems in Harsh Environments
These sapphire windows are ideal for UAVs exposed to chemicals, gases, particulates, and pollutants that can cause damage to sensitive vision systems.
Meller Optics, Inc. has introduced custom fabricated sapphire windows for UAVs exposed to chemicals, gases, particulates, and pollutants that can cause damage to sensitive vision systems.
Meller Sapphire Windows provide optimum optical clarity and feature Mohs 9 hardness to protect drone vision systems in harsh environments where they may be exposed to chemicals, fast moving particles, gases, and high heat. Custom fabricated in sizes from 1/4" to 10" dia. and 1/2 mm to 1" thick, depending upon configuration, they can also include A/R coatings.
Fabricated with flatness held to 0.5 fringes of HeNe and parallelism from 20 to 2 arc/secs., and surface finishes from 60-40 to 40-20 scratch-dig,
Meller Sapphire Windows can withstand temps. to 1,000°C and pressures to 10,000 psi, depending upon configuration. Other sapphire optics include domes and lenses with focal lengths from 3/4" to 1,000 mm or greater.
Meller Sapphire Windows are priced according to configuration, size, and quantity. Literature and price quotations are available upon request.
