KUKA to Showcase its Robotic Automation Solutions at Automation Technology Expo West
KUKA will demonstrate solutions built for precision, safety and collaboration at the expo in Anaheim alongside the Medical Design & Manufacturing West Show
KUKA, a global supplier of intelligent automation solutions, will be exhibiting its robotic automation solutions at Automation Technology Expo West (ATX West) in association with Medical Design & Manufacturing West (MD&M West) in Anaheim, Calif. from February 5-7. ATX West is one of the nation's largest automation manufacturing shows, where manufacturing professionals can see the latest solutions in automation, assembly, robots and robotic accessories, as well as learn about the newest innovations in 3D printing and smart manufacturing.
Attendees can connect with KUKA West Coast's Fremont team at booth #4808 to learn how KUKA's robots help customers improve efficiencies and develop customizable solutions. A few of the machines that will be on display include:
ready2_fasten_micro: With its flexibility and precision, the ready_2_fasten_micro robot is ideal for tightening miniature screws usually found on electronic devices. Built for ease of use, this robot is customizable to its user. Its small robotic arm allows it to assist in multiple steps in the production line and work with even the smallest and most delicate devices. This robot is great for manufacturers whose products have a short life cycle and who need to be ready for rapid innovation.
LBR iiwa: KUKA's LBR iiwa is the world's first series-produced sensitive and HRC-compatible robot. Its light-weight design makes it the optimal tool for delicate assembly work that most robots are too large and bulky to complete. The LBR iiwa's safety barriers allow humans to use it within close proximity, paving the way for better human-robot collaboration and creating opportunities for cost-effective processes and improved efficiency.
KUKA AGILUS: The KUKA AGILUS is compact and built for high working speeds. Its small size allows it to be precise in its movements, making it a perfect tool for tasks like assembly and fastening. The robot's corrosion-resistant surface, food-compatible lubricants and stainless-steel parts ensure the highest level of hygiene. Its cleanroom design means it is built for sterile environments and is extremely suitable for medical applications.
"Safety and reliability are core values in the medical and manufacturing industries, so at KUKA, we make sure these values are reflected in our automated solutions to enable our customers to address any challenges that come their way," says Steve Green, general manager of robotics and solutions at KUKA Robotics. "We're excited to show attendees at ATX West our advancements in flexibility, precision and collaboration for better, faster robots."
