Only nine months after breaking ground for its "b39" Innovation and Technology Centre IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH celebrated the topping-out of the building with a ceremony of the on November 21. Around 3,500 m³ of concrete have been used. "The shell was completed on schedule," explains project manager Jan Hartmann with satisfaction. Work on the interior of the 23,000 m³ site, which will provide jobs for 200 employees, has already begun.
Hartmann expressed many thanks for the good cooperation and on-schedule execution to project developer Kruck und Partner, architect S-Projekt and construction firm Fritz Gauer Bauunternehmung GmbH & Co. KG. - all from the region around the company's headquarters. "Busy hands were there and thank God they were accident-free", architect Frank Seiter was pleased to report as he sketched the 5-storey building. "In the ground floor hall, restaurant and offices, lots of glass makes them very friendly, bright and large. Upstairs there are many wide rooms and thus room for company dreams"!
In addition to 52 offices, 6 meeting rooms and an "open space" office, an event hall for up to 200 people and a company restaurant will be completed. The main user of the 4,500 sqm complex will be IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH and its sister company IDS Innovation GmbH, which will house the "b39 Academy".
In addition to IDS-related training courses, a public event and training program will be offered there. Furthermore, IDS Innovation GmbH aims to cooperate with and participate in early-stage start-ups in the fields of image processing, industrial cameras and artificial intelligence. There will also be co-working spaces available for startups from the areas of vision and automation.
The completion of the largest expansion in the history of IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH is planned for the end of September 2020.
