Your company will be exhibiting at Automate, what is it that makes this an important event for your company?
At this year’s show, we are thrilled to debut MILES, our autonomous mobile robot, for the first time in the U.S., along with introducing a brand new tool changer series, a complete portfolio on short and long stroke linear axis as well as a new vacuum portfolio. We have invested in a much bigger space than years prior and will be highlighting Zimmer’s latest product releases and technologies.
What makes your booth a must visit for Automate attendees?
Our products at the booth, #4013, showcase their ease of use and compatibility with a majority of industrial robots and lightweight cobots in the industry. We have evolved from a manufacturer of single components to becoming a full-range provider of complex system solutions in the field of robotics. Our portfolio covers the entire automation spectrum – from high-functioning grippers to robot accessories (e.g., crash protection).
Automate has many educational sessions, forums and demos, is your company involved in any of them this year?
We are thrilled to co-sponsor the Extra Innings event during Automate in Detroit on Tuesday, May 13 with Jake Hall, The Manufacturing Millennial, and Chris Luecke of the Manufacturing Happy Hour Podcast. It will be an extraordinary event to connect with passionate manufacturing professionals in #robotics and #automation! A portion of the event’s proceeds will support STEM and manufacturing education in the Midwest - so you can mingle and make a difference!
When you get a chance to walk the exhibit hall floor yourself, what is it you will be most interested to see? Any educational sessions, pavilions etc. you plan on attending?
I look forward to Automate to gain valuable insights into industry trends, for the networking opportunities, and discovering cutting-edge technologies that are shaping the future of automation. I’m eager to check out the Automate Student Challenge and see middle and high school teams compete in real-world automation problem-solving using various robotics platforms.
Give us your thoughts on what the future holds for manufacturers and automation.
“I think the future of manufacturing is all about being smarter and more adaptable. Automation won’t just be about speed anymore, but about helping companies stay flexible, react quickly to changes, and make better use of data. Technologies like AI, collaborative robots and connected systems will play a big role — and the manufacturers who embrace that shift early will be the ones leading the way.”
