FIRST Announces Bechtel as Strategic Partner

Global Engineering and Construction Company Has Supported FIRST Since 2008

MANCHESTER, N.H.--FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), a not-for-profit organization founded by inventor Dean Kamen to inspire young peoples interest and participation in science and technology, has officially recognized Bechtel as a FIRST Strategic Partner. The global engineering, construction, and project management company has provided multifaceted support to FIRST since 2008.

With more than $1M already committed to FIRST, as a Strategic Partner Bechtel is recognized as providing the highest level of Sponsorship available at FIRST through its cumulative and overarching support of the organization.

Besides providing financial support to FIRST teams and events over the years, many Bechtel employees donate their time as Mentors and Volunteers. Over the last year, the company worked with students on nearly 40 teams around the world including teams in Australia, Canada, Chile, Malaysia, Thailand, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
