NEXCOM to Debut Dual EtherCAT AI Robotic Controller + AI Edge Mobility Solutions at GTC 2025

At NVIDIA GTC 2025 (March 17-21), NEXCOM will debut one of the world's first dual EtherCAT AI robotic controllers with a self-developed real-time OS for high-speed synchronized motion control. It will also showcase AI-driven solutions, including the ATC for mobile edge AI and BBU for transportation.

NEXCOM International (8234), a global provider of edge AI computing and intelligent automation solutions, is excited to announce its participation at NVIDIA GTC 2025. At the event, NEXCOM will debut one of the world's first dual EtherCAT AI robotic controllers powered by the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin module. It features a self-developed real-time operating system and a dual EtherCAT master-supported AI robot controller, enabling real-time motion control with high-speed synchronization in robotic operations. Moreover, NEXCOM will also showcase its innovative AI-driven solutions, including its Advanced Telematics Computer (ATC) for mobile edge AI computing and Backup Battery Unit (BBU) for transportation.

"By leveraging NVIDIA Jetson, our solutions deliver real-time AI computing, precision motion control and autonomous capabilities. These advancements empower industries such as manufacturing, factory automation, transportation and next-generation robotics, fostering greater efficiency and safety in the workplace," said Leo Chang, Assistant Vice President at NEXCOM's Mobile Computing Solutions.

Real-Time Motion Control: Dual EtherCAT Master AI Robot Controller:
Most humanoid robots today rely on proprietary control architecture, which is often built on closed communication protocols that limit scalability and flexibility. These systems typically depend on a single master control, posing a risk of complete system shutdown in the event of a crash or failure.

Next week at GTC 2025, NEXCOM will introduce one of the world's first dual EtherCAT master AI robot controllers, developed on the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin platform. This innovative dual EtherCAT design enhances the performance of single EtherCAT systems, addressing challenges such as poor robot drive performance and operational latency. By significantly improving the real-time response of various types of robots, particularly humanoids, it sets a new benchmark for real-time motion control.

Designed for advanced automation, the controller synchronizes complex robotic systems with ultra-low latency. Its dual EtherCAT master architecture supports multiple EtherCAT slave modules, facilitating seamless multi-axis motion control across humanoids, quadrupeds and robotic arms. AI-driven capabilities, powered by the NVIDIA JetPack SDK, enhance vision processing and motion planning, enabling robots to interact dynamically with their environments.

Built for industrial automation, manufacturing and logistics, the controller delivers the precision and reliability required for factory automation, assembly lines and robotic material handling. Moreover, its modular design allows for flexible functionality expansion based on customer needs, enabling more adaptable robot deployments to meet the demands of various next-generation robotics and industrial applications.

AI-Powered Edge Computing: Advanced Telematics Computer (ATC) & Battery Backup Unit (BBU):
NEXCOM's Advanced Telematics Computer (ATC), powered by NVIDIA Jetson, delivers real-time AI inference for transportation, in-vehicle and railway systems while ensuring durability in rugged, mobile environments. It features IP67-rated protection, a wide operating temperature range (-40°C to 70°C) and a flexible 9V-36VDC power input, providing long-term stability across harsh conditions.

Paired with the Battery Backup Unit (BBU), the ATC ensures uninterrupted operation, automatically switching to backup power during outages—critical for transportation, public safety and ADAS systems.

NEXCOM aims to create a convenient and safer smart living environment. Driven by AI advancements, new applications in the edge market are emerging rapidly. NEXCOM will continue advancing AI technology across vertical industries with its software-defined edge computing solution for terminal edge AI applications. It will also continue to use NVIDIA technology to expand edge AI computing platform offerings, improve the diversity and performance of AIoT solutions, assist customers in quickly building efficient AI application systems and successfully promote digital transformation.
