Lakeview Vision & Robotics smart inspection system brings unique, automated precision capabilities to manufacturing industry
Lakeview Vision & Robotics announces a pioneering, vision-guided robotic inspection system applicable to any manufacturing environment where high tolerances and high quality are required.
Lakeview Vision & Robotics (LVR) announces the availability of a pioneering, vision-guided robotic inspection system - the only product of its kind in the manufacturing marketplace - that provides both automated inspection and decision making via an exclusive process monitoring tool.
The low-cost LVR inspection system, which utilizes a state-of-the-art ST Robotics R12 articulated robot arm, a high-density camera and precision algorithms, can substantially increase the quality of product manufacturing while decreasing labor and product liability costs.
LVRs vision-guided robot system surpasses the standard techniques currently used on the manufacturing floor, and at a fraction of the cost. The robotic system can inspect 100% of parts, thereby eliminating the traditional sampling method. It can also make multi-dimensional, high-speed measurements to 0.001 inches, often in less than one minute.
The easy-to-use technology features graphical user interfaces (GUI), requires very little training, can be used for multiple parts, and consumes a small manufacturing footprint. In addition to inspection, the adaptive, flexible robot system can also sort and package.
"LVR has spent years of research and development perfecting a smart robot and vision inspection system and there is no comparable solution available today in the manufacturing marketplace," says Ernest Ciccone, President and CEO of LVR Systems. "Depending upon the labor rate, the system could pay for itself in less than a year. A company could easily save a half million dollars in five years."
LVR has initially addressed the orthopedic marketplace, but the robot and vision system is applicable to any manufacturing environment where high tolerances and high quality are required. Videos of the system can be seen at www.lvrsystems.com.

Model TR1 Tru-Trac
The Model TR1 Tru-Trac® linear measurement solution is a versatile option for tracking velocity, position, or distance over a wide variety of surfaces. An integrated encoder, measuring wheel, and spring-loaded torsion arm in one, compact unit, the Model TR1 is easy to install. The spring-loaded torsion arm offers adjustable torsion load, allowing the Model TR1 to be mounted in almost any orientation - even upside-down. The threaded shaft on the pivot axis is field reversible, providing mounting access from either side. With operating speeds up to 3000 feet per minute, a wide variety of configuration options - including multiple wheel material options - and a housing made from a durable, conductive composite material that minimizes static buildup, the Model TR1 Tru-Trac® is the ideal solution for countless applications.
