Warehouse Robotics Company, Contoro, Achieves New Milestone, Surpassing 100 Trailers Unloaded Autonomously With Its AI-Powered Robot

Contoro Robotics and States Logistics recently celebrated the 100th truck unloaded autonomously by Contoro’s AI-powered unloading robot. States Logistics is a fully integrated provider of third-party services, including warehousing and transportation with over 5.5 million square feet of warehouse space and a fleet of over 100 trucks.

Contoro’s robot, affectionately known as the “Dock Duck” has been automating the unloading of floor loaded/non palletized boxes from trailer and shipping containers at States Logistics, and meeting this “centennial” milestone is exciting for both States Logistics and Contoro Robotics.

“With Contoro’s robot working inside the trailer we have been able to reallocate our headcount, and our team can now work in other areas of the receiving dock and facility. We anticipate continuing to work with Contoro and advancing our warehouse automation even further with a palletization robot soon,” said Jesse Sevilla, General Manager of States Logistics.

“Working with the professionals at States Logistics has been a true pleasure for Contoro. The team, at every level of the organization, is customer centric and demonstrates a passion to advance through automation. We are thrilled to be partnering with States Logistics and are looking forward to adding an automated palletization complement to the existing offloading solution in the near future,” said Mok Yun, CEO and Founder of Contoro Robotics

This collaboration highlights the growing momentum in warehouse automation, showcasing how innovative robotics solutions can revolutionize supply chain efficiency. As logistics providers face increasing demands, partnerships like this pave the way for smarter, faster, and more sustainable.

Schmalz Technology Development - The Right Gripper for Every Task

In order to interact with their environment and perform the tasks, lightweight robots, like all industrial robots, depend on tools - and in many cases these are vacuum grippers. These form the interface to the workpiece and are therefore a decisive part of the overall system. With their help, the robots can pick up, move, position, process, sort, stack and deposit a wide variety of goods and components. Vacuum gripping systems allow particularly gentle handling of workpieces, a compact and space-saving system design and gripping from above. Precisely because the object does not have to be gripped, the vacuum suction cupenables gapless positioning next to each other.
