Kardex launches updates to FulfillX WES and IPA for AutoStore at ProMat
The company also announced a partnership with parcel packing intelligence company Paccurate that integrates intelligent cartonization into Kardex’s FulfillX software ecosystem; and launched their StoreX Calculator, a tool for simulating the benefits and ROI of AutoStore empowered by Kardex, to the logistics industry.
Chicago, IL, 21st March, 2025 - Intralogistics specialist Kardex appeared at ProMat 2025 to announce new upgrades to their solutions designed to empower the world's fastest AS/RS system, AutoStore™. These included upgrades to the FulfillX WES (Warehouse Execution System) and the IPA (Intuitive Picking Assistant).
The company also announced a partnership with parcel packing intelligence company Paccurate that integrates intelligent cartonization into Kardex's FulfillX software ecosystem; and launched their StoreX Calculator, a tool for simulating the benefits and ROI of AutoStore empowered by Kardex, to the logistics industry. Additionally, as the fastest growing AutoStore integrator, Kardex's ProMat stand [S3562] featured a fully operational AutoStore Cube Storage Retrieval System for the first time.
Showcasing the possibilities offered by Kardex empowered by AutoStore
Kardex's upgrades to the FulfillX WES include Power BI integration for custom reporting; on-demand order picking for urgent requests; and enhanced inventory tracking. Created by automation experts at Kardex, the FulfillX WES is purpose-built to enable AutoStore systems to ramp up faster and can meet or exceed business cases in as little as six months, providing a real-time overview of the whole operation in a simple window.
Meanwhile, Kardex unveiled a new Optical State Capture feature for the IPA at ProMat, which captures and analyses data to deliver performance tracking and process optimization. The IPA uses digital tools and augmented reality to respond to workers' movements and project relevant picking information directly onto the surface of the access opening. It delivers accurate, ergonomic picking that can be customized to specific customer requirements. The new Optical State Capture feature has the ability to determine why an unwanted inventory adjustment occurred. It does this by capturing operator interactions, changes in the cube, and inventory images. AI technology can then review the entire process and interaction so that users can work out how to prevent the same adjustment happening again.
Further enhancing the FulfillX software ecosystem, Paccurate and Kardex showcased their new strategic partnership. Their expertise is brought together to transform warehouse efficiency through the integration of intelligent cartonization into Kardex's FulfillX software ecosystem. The solution tells pickers what to pick in real-time, with Paccurate's platform determining optimal box selection and generating packing instructions, while Kardex's IPA and FulfillX solutions provide visualisation for workers at the AutoStore port. The precise picking and packing benefits the collaboration brings to intralogistics operations were evident at both companies' ProMat booths, including reduced shipping costs, greater fulfillment efficiency and reduced material waste.
Also launched for the first time to the wider supply chain industry at ProMat was the StoreX Calculator, a tool for simulating the benefits from AutoStore empowered by Kardex (having been launched to the retail industry earlier this year at the NRF show in New York). StoreX Calculator provides a customized data-rich analysis of the operational optimization provided by AutoStore empowered by Kardex systems. It generates a comprehensive performance report for an AutoStore solution in the user's facility, based on key data such as order volume, storage capacity needs, and labor requirements.
Commenting on Kardex's appearance at ProMat 2025, Mitch Hayes, President of Kardex Solutions Americas, says, "ProMat 2025 has been an incredible opportunity to showcase how Kardex is driving innovation and helping businesses get the most out of AutoStore. From live demos at our booth to in-depth conversations with customers and partners, the energy around intralogistics advancements was on display all week.
"Our focus remains on simplifying the design and deployment of AutoStore systems—whether it's optimizing picking and packing workflows in the Kardex FulfillX WES (KFX) or introducing new tools like the StoreX Calculator. This year, we also highlighted key enhancements to KFX in our Spring release, advancements in Kardex's Intuitive Picking Assistant, and our new partnership with Paccurate, all aimed at helping businesses maximize efficiency and accelerate ROI for their AutoStore systems."
