IMTS 2014 - New ATI Products and Solutions at the IMTS 2014 Show
Visit ATI at Booth #N-6429, September 8-13, McCormick Place, Chicago, IL
ATI Industrial Automation will be exhibiting at the upcoming International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) on September 8-13, 2014, in Chicago, IL at McCormick Place, North Hall, Booth #N-6429. IMTS 2014 is the premier manufacturing technology show in North America. More than 1,900 exhibiting companies will occupy 1.2 million square feet of exhibit space at the McCormick Place complex in Chicago, Illinois.
ATI will display several live robotic demonstrations that feature Robotic Tool Changers, Robotic Deburring Tools, Multi-Axis Force/Torque Sensors, and Robotic Collision Sensors. All of their latest advances in robotic end-effectors and automation tooling will also be on display including:
New Tool Changer Models: ATI has broadened their line of Robotic Tool Changers to include the QC-160 for most 200 kg robots, the QC-18 electrically-actuated Tool Changer, and the QC-001 Micro Tool Changer for high-speed "spider" or delta robots. ATI Robotic Tool Changers provide the flexibility to automatically change end-effectors or other peripheral tooling. These Tool Changers are designed to function reliably for millions of cycles at rated load while maintaining extremely high repeatability.
Lateral and Pivoting Compensators: ATI has developed two new series of Compensators (patents pending) that allow compliance in multiple directions. These unique devices allow pieces to be gripped or routed reliably even if the workpiece is severely misaligned. Both of these series are designed for high endurance and high repeatability and have robust guidance allowing for high moment loads in a compact work envelope.
Manual Utility Couplers: ATI has developed a series of Utility Couplers that can be manually coupled/uncoupled quickly, designed for applications where there is a need to quickly connect utilities such as air, fluid, power, and electrical signals in docking and fixturing applications. Any of ATI's Standard Series Tool Changer Utility Modules can attach to the modular, multi-coupling design and will improve cycle-time and flexibility in any production cell.

The piCOBOT Electric vacuum generator
Fully electric, slim design and absence of air-tubing and cabling. The new piCOBOT® Electric heads towards another success for Piab's piCOBOT® program. A secondary effect of these achievements is the absence of entangling air tubing and cabling. It simplifies the installation, and as the new piCOBOT® Electric only needs a single connection on the cobot arm, the clean set-up allows a completely unrestricted movement. The new piCOBOT® Electric package will contain plug & play software to fit UR e-series cobots, but many other useful adaptations will be introduced in the coming year
