Pack Expo 2014 - See Future Indexers and New Workholding Equipment from DE-STA-CO at PACK EXPO

DE-STA-CO's booth at PACK EXPO next week will include a wide range of its most innovative, efficient workholding tools, but what is under the tools may be equally interesting for attendees. That's because DE-STA-CO is mounting the equipment on top of two of its yet-to-be-released rotary indexers, providing a sneak peek of future products.

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Oct. 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- DE-STA-CO's booth at PACK EXPO next week will include a wide range of its most innovative, efficient workholding tools, but what is under the tools may be equally interesting for attendees. That's because DE-STA-CO is mounting the equipment on top of two of its yet-to-be-released rotary indexers, providing a sneak peek of future products.

PACK EXPO is held Nov. 2-5 at McCormick Place in Chicago. Attendees can find DE-STA-CO in booth #E-9717 in the Lakeside Lower Hall.

"In addition to showcasing some of our recently launched products, we decided to show packaging professionals what they have to look forward to in the coming year," says Darren Greene, director, global marketing and business intelligence for DE-STA-CO. "Our newest clamps, grippers and lightweight tooling will be on display, but we are also going to demonstrate our new E-Series indexers which are under development. This will provide us with the opportunity to get feedback from potential customers that we can use to improve each product."

DE-STA-CO's CAMCO-brand E-Series indexers are designed to move a variety of products and components at exact intervals to precise locations. They offer controlled acceleration and deceleration, smooth motion and easy maintenance. At PACK EXPO, a medium-duty indexer (MDE) will be mounted on top of a servo-driven heavy-duty indexer (HDE), with both programmed to rotate in opposite directions.

The MDE indexer's dial plate will be fitted with stainless steel toggle clamps, plus the new Robohand G100 Series pneumatic parallel gripper, 82M-3E Series enclosed pneumatic power clamp and Accelerate® lightweight end effector tooling.

DE-STA-CO will also demo its new 8700 Series pneumatic lever clamp, which was introduced this month. The 8700 Series clamp is a lightweight, space-saving alternative to traditional pneumatic toggle and swing clamps. It features an arm that arcs up and out of the way on a single plane, which remains completely within the clamp's footprint while in the open position. Since the 8700 Series clamp does not rotate its arm to the side like a swing clamp, it prevents interference with adjacent components on crowded fixtures.

ResinDek® TRIGARD® ESD ULTRA FOR HIGH-TRAFFIC ROBOTIC APPLICATIONS

To maximize the productivity of an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) or automatic guided vehicle (AGV) deployment, it's critical to create the optimal environment that allows the vehicles to perform at their peak. For that reason, Cornerstone Specialty Wood Products, LLC® (www.resindek.com) created the TriGard® ESD Ultra finish for its ResinDek® engineered flooring panels. The TriGard ESD Ultra finish is ideal for high-traffic robotic applications characterized by highly repetitive movement patterns and defined travel paths.
