Minneapolis & Rehovot, Israel - Nov. 4, 2014 - Stratasys Ltd. (Nasdaq:SSYS), a leading global provider of 3D printing and additive manufacturing solutions, today launched six PolyJet 3D printers with compact and mid-size build envelopes, expanding the accessibility to triple-jetting technology.

The multi-material 3D printers include the compact Objet260 Connex1, Objet260 Connex2 and Objet260 Connex3, as well as the mid-size Objet350 Connex1, Objet350 Connex2 and Objet350 Connex3. The new additions deliver an excellent combination of application versatility, final product realism and material performance.

Following the January launch of the popular Objet500 Connex3 Color multi-material 3D Printer and more recently the Objet500 Connex1 and Objet500 Connex2, these 3D printers meet the application needs for a variety of users.

Stratasys triple-jetting technology is unique, allowing users to build products with up to three base materials in a single run, forming new Digital Materials such as Digital ABS or producing parts in vibrant colors. This technology 3D prints parts in a single, automated build with up to 80 material properties per part, ranging from rigid to rubber-like in a range of vibrant colors and a range of Shore A values producing exceptional final-product realism.

Objet260 and Objet350 Connex1

Bringing triple-jetting workflow benefits into an office setting for the first time, the Objet260 Connex1 3D Printer achieves multi-material 3D printing with three-material parts and mixed trays in a compact system. The same multi-material benefits are delivered by the mid-sized Objet350 Connex1 3D Printer, which gives users improved workflow benefits. Fewer material changeovers and hot swapping - or reloading material and support cartridges while the 3D printer is operating - allows for continuous part production.

The benefits provided by the Objet260 and Objet350 Connex1 facilitate the development of consumer product prototypes that simulate over-molding for rigid and soft-touch parts.

Objet260 and Objet350 Connex2

The compact Objet260 Connex2 and mid-sized Objet350 Connex2 multi-material 3D Printers combine all the benefits of Connex1 with the power of two-component Digital Materials.

Both 3D printers deliver advanced multi-material prototyping and manufacturing capabilities with mixed trays of more than 100 Digital Material options; including Digital ABS, a variety of Shore A values, and a range of opacities and shades.

Suitable for several applications, the Connex2 can build products with rigid, flexible and clear materials in one part. Manufacturers using Digital ABS can create mold cores and cavities for short-run injection molding or produce custom manufacturing tools like jigs and fixtures.

Objet260 and Objet350 Connex3

The Objet260 Connex3 is a color, multi-material 3D printer compact enough for office use. Along with the new Objet350 Connex3 for mid-sized parts or trays, and the Objet500 Connex3, Stratasys unique color, multi-material technology is now accessible to a wide variety of users.

From industries such as consumer electronics requiring toughness, color and soft-touch parts, to manufactured parts in automotive combining Digital ABS with rubber-like material, Connex3 technology offers the complete range of PolyJet materials for color and maximum versatility in material properties for ultimate final-product aesthetics.

All Objet Connex3 systems will support files exported from CAD as VRMLs*, as well as STLs. This retains color designations from the designer, eliminating the need for the Connex3 operator to re-designate all shells in Objet Studio.

For more information about the Objet260 and Objet350 Connex1, 2 and 3 3D Printers, contact a reseller or visit Stratasys website. Images, a video and a brochure are available by visiting the Stratasys newsroom.

*Support for VRML-exported CAD files will be available in Q4.

3D Vision: Ensenso B now also available as a mono version!

3D Vision: Ensenso B now also available as a mono version!

This compact 3D camera series combines a very short working distance, a large field of view and a high depth of field - perfect for bin picking applications. With its ability to capture multiple objects over a large area, it can help robots empty containers more efficiently. Now available from IDS Imaging Development Systems. In the color version of the Ensenso B, the stereo system is equipped with two RGB image sensors. This saves additional sensors and reduces installation space and hardware costs. Now, you can also choose your model to be equipped with two 5 MP mono sensors, achieving impressively high spatial precision. With enhanced sharpness and accuracy, you can tackle applications where absolute precision is essential. The great strength of the Ensenso B lies in the very precise detection of objects at close range. It offers a wide field of view and an impressively high depth of field. This means that the area in which an object is in focus is unusually large. At a distance of 30 centimetres between the camera and the object, the Z-accuracy is approx. 0.1 millimetres. The maximum working distance is 2 meters. This 3D camera series complies with protection class IP65/67 and is ideal for use in industrial environments.
