KHK USA Inc. Highlights Line of Ratchets & Pawls

KHK® ratchets & pawls restrict the rotational direction of motion

Mineola, NY - KHK USA Inc., distributor of the market leading KHK® brand of metric gears, highlights its line of ratchets & pawls, manufactured to the highest quality standards by Kohara Gear Industry Co., of Japan. Known as the SRT series, these ratchet gears and corresponding pawls are designed to limit rotational motion to one direction.

When designing a motion application, there are times when you want to prevent reverse rotation of the drive shaft. Use of a KHK® stock ratchet and pawl will allow for rotation in one direction but will halt rotation in the opposite direction. KHK® Ratchet gears are produced in six tooth sizes to resist torque loads from 3 Nm to 550 Nm.

All of the KHK® ratchets and pawls are made from 1045 carbon steel and feature induction hardened teeth for added durability. The ratchet gears are included in the KHK® J series program where stock bores can be open along with the addition of keyways and sets screws, with production requiring only 3 business days.

Schmalz Technology Development - The Right Gripper for Every Task

In order to interact with their environment and perform the tasks, lightweight robots, like all industrial robots, depend on tools - and in many cases these are vacuum grippers. These form the interface to the workpiece and are therefore a decisive part of the overall system. With their help, the robots can pick up, move, position, process, sort, stack and deposit a wide variety of goods and components. Vacuum gripping systems allow particularly gentle handling of workpieces, a compact and space-saving system design and gripping from above. Precisely because the object does not have to be gripped, the vacuum suction cupenables gapless positioning next to each other.
